  • International recognition — International ranking continues to affirm Hong Kong’s position as one of the world’s cleanest business environments, reinforcing investor confidence and strengthening the city’s reputation as a leading international financial hub.

  • Practical support for directors and professionals — The ICAC reinforced the importance of ethical leadership and introduced dedicated resources and advisory services, equipping members with tools to enhance ethical governance.

The President of The Hong Kong Chartered Governance Institute (HKCGI), Mr Tom Chau, recently (12th May) led council members on a visit to the ICAC for an in-depth exchange on fostering a culture of integrity in the private sector. During the session, ICAC representatives shared key insights on:
  • Hong Kong's current probity landscape — Hong Kong is consistently ranked among the world’s least corrupt places in major international surveys, with society maintaining a firm “zero tolerance” stance towards corruption. This demonstrates the effectiveness of ICAC's three-pronged approach of law enforcement, prevention and community education in combating corruption.
  • Public-private partnership — The ICAC promotes a culture of integrity and ethical business practices through strategic collaboration with key stakeholders across industries. It will further deepen cooperation with HKCGI to promote a comprehensive, practical and sustainable Integrity Compliance Management System, empowering companies to strengthen their corruption prevention and integrity management capabilities.
The delegation also took the opportunity to tour the ICAC Exhibition Hall and visit the Café 1974, where they experienced the brand-new "Imprinting Voices " exhibition, a showcase reflecting the ICAC’s five-decade journey in cultivating a culture of integrity throughout the community.
